Majestic Syros: also known as the “Duchess of the Cyclades”, is nestled cozily in the heart of the Aegean. Just a quick hydrofoil ferry from Athens, its favorable position also allows access to a handful of nearby Cycladic islands such as Tinos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros and Sifnos.
Arriving at Syros’ port Ermoupolis, is a sensation for the eyes: the deep blue of the Aegean mixes with the pastels of neoclassic buildings creating a breathtaking and refreshingly different stance to the classic white-blue buildings of the Cycladic islands.

Agathopes is a point of reference for tourists in the summer, while spring visitors may be so lucky as to encounter Monachus Monachus seals along with a rare type of lily, which grows in the area.
