Plan With Us
The Filita Way
We design travel around what matters to you.
Whether you need us to book one hotel or plan the entire journey, we’re here.
A few questions so we can put together a proposal that’s right for you.
We book your hotels with our relationships built in. The best available rates, plus everything our direct connections bring: priority consideration, welcome touches, and a team the property knows to take care of.
We handle the details, from arrival times to special requests, so you have one point of contact.
We design your trip from start to finish: where to stay, what to do and how to move between destinations.
You’ll get our recommendations, insider tips and a detailed plan. From there, the trip is yours to run with.
Our most comprehensive service: we plan your itinerary, make every reservation and provide round-the-clock support while you travel.
From the moment you land to the day you leave, we handle it all, including the last-minute changes that come up along the way.
How does the planning process work?
Start by filling out our questionnaire. The more detail you give us, the faster we can send your initial proposal. We typically respond within 24 hours. From there, it usually takes two or three rounds to get everything right. Once the itinerary is confirmed, we’ll move forward with the booking form and deposit
Why book through Filita instead of booking directly?
Our rates are competitive, and often exclusive, with the benefit of our relationships built in: priority consideration, welcome touches, and properties that know we’re sending you. We’re also your single point of contact instead of juggling dozens of confirmation emails, plus access to our years of on-the-ground knowledge
What's your selection criteria for accommodations?
We look for places where the service, the setting and the overall experience come together naturally. Philoxenia, the Greek art of hospitality, matters deeply to us, so we favour properties where you’ll feel genuinely welcomed and looked after. That means our collection ranges from boutique hotels to all-inclusive resorts to traditional homes. Every stay we feature has been personally visited by our team or vetted through trusted client feedback
Is every itinerary custom built?
Every single one.
We build each itinerary from scratch based on your tastes, travel style and pace. Some travellers want to pack in as much as possible, others prefer slow mornings and long afternoons by the sea. We design around how you actually want to travel, not a template
Can I make changes to my itinerary?
Of course. We expect some back and forth as we refine your plans. Once accommodations are booked, changes will depend on each property’s cancellation policy, which we’ll outline before confirming anything
What if I need support while travelling?
Our Full Experience service includes round-the-clock assistance while you travel. If you’ve opted for a Hotel Booking or Trip Design, we’re available if you need us, with hourly billing for support beyond the first hour.
Do I need to rent a car in Greece?
On most islands, yes. Public transport is limited, taxis are few, and during peak season availability can be tight. A rental car gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace. A handful of smaller islands don’t allow cars at all, in which case we’ll let you know in advance.
On the mainland and in Athens, private transfers are a better option and something we arrange as part of your trip. We can also arrange private transfers on the islands, though last-minute requests may come with longer waiting times
How do ferries work between islands?
Not every island connects directly to every other, even within the same group. Schedules change seasonally, and some routes only run a few times a week. This is one of the things we handle during the planning process, making sure your route actually works before anything is booked. We’ll recommend the best connections and flag where a domestic flight might make more sense than a long crossing.
Do all Greek islands have airports?
No. Mykonos, Santorini, Crete, Rhodes, Corfu, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Kos, Milos, Paros, Naxos and Skiathos all have flights from Athens, and several receive direct international flights in summer.
Beyond these, a number of smaller islands also have domestic airports, but many popular destinations are only reachable by ferry, which is something we factor in when designing your route.
Can I book private transfers between islands or destinations?
Absolutely. For shorter crossings, we can arrange private RIB transfers between islands, which are faster and more flexible than scheduled ferries. These are subject to weather conditions and may be cancelled or rescheduled at short notice. For longer distances or tighter schedules, private helicopter transfers are also available between most major islands. We’ll advise on what makes sense for your specific route
Do you book flights?
We don’t book transatlantic flights, but we handle all domestic flights, ferries and ground transport as part of your itinerary. We also book international flights within the Mediterranean and can advise on the best routes.
Is Greece vegetarian & vegan friendly?
More than most people expect. Greek cuisine has a deep tradition of vegetable-based cooking, especially the category of dishes known as ladera: seasonal vegetables slow-cooked in olive oil and tomato. Green beans, artichokes, giant beans, stuffed peppers, wild greens. Many of these are naturally vegan, with cheese served on the side rather than cooked in. Between ladera, fresh salads, legumes and beans, and the sheer quality of the produce, vegetarian and vegan travellers eat extremely well in Greece. We’ll flag the best restaurants for plant-based dining in your itinerary.
Do you charge planning fees?
Hotel bookings are always complimentary.
For Trip Design, there’s a retainer fee to get started, which is applied to your total trip cost once bookings are confirmed.
The Full Experience carries an agency fee based on the length of your trip and the size of your group. We’ll outline all fees before you commit to anything
What if my plans change or I need to cancel?
Most hotels require cancellation at least 21 days before arrival, though policies vary by property and we’ll make these clear before you confirm.
For The Full Experience, the agency fee is non-refundable once work begins. In exceptional circumstances, we’ll work with you to find a solution.
Full details are outlined in our Terms & Conditions.
Do you offer travel insurance?
We don’t sell travel insurance directly, but we strongly recommend purchasing a comprehensive policy before you travel.
Your trip is an investment, and the right cover protects it against cancellations, medical emergencies, delays, ferry strikes, airport strikes and lost luggage. We’re happy to point you in the right direction.
