2026 New Hotels in Greece
Opening in 2026: Greece
Greece’s hotel scene is having a moment. International brands are arriving with serious money, Greek developers are getting bolder, and islands that had little beyond a handful of rooms a decade ago are now pulling in projects that would have been unthinkable five years back.
Here is what’s opening this year, and we can’t wait…!
Eréma, Milos (Member of Design Hotels)
Empiria Group, the team behind the likes of Parilio, Cosme and Mystique Santorini, arrives on Milos with 41 suites near Provatas Beach, every one with a private pool and uninterrupted Aegean views. Designed by ID Laboratorium to sit into the volcanic landscape rather than compete with it. Chef Yiannis Kioroglou leads two restaurants.
If Empiria’s track record on Paros & Santorini is anything to go by, this will be booked out before we know it.
Opens: June 15
Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos
94 rooms, suites, and villas on Kalo Livadi Bay, designed by architect Nicos Valsamakis in whitewashed Cycladic style with interiors by Wimberly. A private jetty for Delos excursions, two pools, and direct beach access. It will be the first major international luxury brand to plant a flag on the island, which, given what Mykonos charges for a sun lounger, is surprising it took this long.
Opening: Late Summer 2026
Parian Chronicle Hotel Paros, Destination by Hyatt
Hyatt’s first Cycladic property: 50 rooms in Kampos, Paros, designed by Makridis & Associates with natural stone, wood, and linen. 39 rooms come with private pools. Named after the ancient marble chronicle that recorded the island’s history and myths, which is a better origin story than most hotels manage.
Opening: June 2026
The Ilisian (Conrad Athens), Athens
The former Hilton Athens, reborn as a mixed-use destination anchored by a 307-room Conrad hotel. Interiors by AvroKO nod to the building’s 1963 mid-century origins, and the Yiannis Moralis marble facades have been restored. Nine dining concepts include the return of Byzantino and the revival of the Galaxy rooftop bar. A 2,000 sqm wellness centre, the city’s largest outdoor hotel pool, a rooftop running track, and 55 branded residences. This is the most significant hotel opening Athens has seen in a generation, and the city has been waiting for it.
Opening: May 2026
Luura Paros Cliff, Morgans Originals
Morgans Originals, the brand credited with inventing the boutique hotel, makes its Greek debut with an adults-only retreat of 39 suites on Paros’s western coast. Designed by Elastic Architects and Lambs and Lions out of Berlin, with restaurants curated by Ennismore’s F&B platform and a curated art programme that changes seasonally. A second property, Luura Sand, follows on the east coast in 2027. Paros is collecting serious hotel names faster than any other island in the Cyclades right now.
Opening: Summer 2026
Ikos Kissamos, Crete
The first Ikos on Crete, opening April 30 on Kissamos Bay, on the west side of the island. Seven restaurants with Michelin-starred menus, 414 rooms, and the brand’s all-inclusive formula that somehow manages to feel generous rather than generic. The location puts Balos Lagoon, Falassarna, and old-town Chania within easy reach. If Ikos does for Kissamos what it did for Corfu, western Crete is about to give Elounda a run for its money.
Opening: April 30
Hymnos Zakynthos, Luxury Collection
Details are still emerging, but a Luxury Collection property on Zakynthos would be the first international luxury brand to take the Ionian island seriously at this level.
We are watching this one closely. More to follow.
AMOH, a Luxury Collection Resort, Rhodes
Opening May 2026 on a secluded peninsula near Lindos, built on the site of an ancient quarry. 197 rooms, four restaurants, a 700 sqm spa, and design by London’s Studio LOST using locally sourced poros stone throughout. Programming includes ceramic workshops with Rhodian artisans and private dinners in coastal coves.
Rhodes has needed a property with this much ambition for a long time. It’s finally getting one.
