F Zeen
Why it made our list: A wellness retreat that actually means it. Yoga on open-air decks above the Ionian, three pools, a chef’s garden, and an outdoor cinema every evening. F Zeen does the slow life well, and it shows.

At a Glance
F Zeen spills down a hillside on Kefalonia’s western coast, ten acres of warm stone, gardens and sea views, ending at its own residents-only stretch of Lourdas Beach. The architecture is low and deliberately organic: local stone walls, natural finishes, handcrafted interiors. Ninety-eight species of plants and herbs grow through the grounds.Nothing feels constructed, just something that was always here
The wellness offering is what sets this apart; not a spa menu tacked on as an afterthought, but the actual reason the hotel exists. Three yoga decks overlooking the Ionian, each with a different character, plus a reformer Pilates deck, a spinning deck and two outdoor Technogym gyms. Most of the programme is included in the room rate: yoga, aerial yoga, fitness, sound healing, meditation, morning hikes, kayaks, SUP boards, snorkelling and an outdoor cinema that screens a different film every night on beanbags under the stars. Family-run and adults only, the beach is yours and so is the pace.
Seventy-six rooms, suites and seven private villas across 15 room categories. The “Raw” categories use exposed stone and the most natural finishes. The villas come with private pools, jacuzzis and sprawling vistas.
Our Take: A wellness retreat where the wellness is the point. Active, considered, adults only, and on one of Greece’s quietest islands.
Rooms We Love
Exposed stone, natural finishes, a private pool and terrace with garden and sea views. The most F Zeen room in the hotel
Standalone, private pool and jacuzzi, spacious interiors, and uninterrupted views over the Ionian. For couples who want total privacy.
The top category: generous living space, private pool, jacuzzi, and the best position on the property. Worth it for a group of friends or a family with older children
Dining
Selini and Gaia are the two restaurants, both seasonal and built around the hotel’s own organic garden. The kitchen leans into traditional Greek cooking with a light, contemporary hand. No fertilisers, no
pesticides.
The beach bar handles lighter plates and drinks through the day.
Breakfast : generous buffet alongside à la carte dishes cooked to order

Not wheelchair accessible. due to steep hillside with significant stairs between levels (135 steps in places). Accessible parking is available but the terrain rules this out for guests with mobility concerns.
