Welcome

I grew up between two countries, but the older I got, the more I knew which one was mine. The more time I spent away from Greece, especially as an adult, the more I longed for it. It was always the place I carried with me, the one I wanted everyone I met to see the way I saw it.

That impulse became Filita. After a stint at a large travel agency, where I learned how the industry worked and knew I wanted to do it differently, I started my own. 

For over a decade now, I have been helping travellers find their way through this country, from the first conversation about which island to the last transfer home. What started as a handful of clients and a phone that never stopped ringing has become something I could not have imagined when I began.

But I have wanted more than phone calls and itineraries for a while now. I wanted a place where everything I know about Greece, every hotel & villa I have opinions about, every ferry route I have rethought, every restaurant I would send a friend to, could live in one place. Not locked in my head or scattered across emails, but here, for anyone who needs it. Whether you are months away from booking or just looking at pictures of the Aegean and daydreaming.

Greece is complicated to plan. Dozens of islands, hundreds of hotels, ferry timetables that change by season, and an overwhelming number of people on the internet telling you where to go. I wanted to build something that cuts through that. Real editorial insight from a team who lives here, paired with the kind of travel planning that has always been at the core of what we do.

It’s taken longer than I expected to get here; it always does. But the team has grown, the vision is sharper than it has ever been, and while Greece remains the heart of Filita, we will be expanding into more of the Mediterranean destinations our clients love and keep asking us about. Stay tuned.
