Why it made our list: Milos does boutique brilliantly, and we’re not about to suggest otherwise. But at 41 rooms, each with its own pool and none of them poky, Eréma is doing something this island hasn’t quite had before.
At a Glance
Forty-one suites step down the cliffs above Cape Chalaka, stone and marble in the same sun-bleached tones as the rock beneath them. Low buildings, wide openings, nothing standing between you and the water.
Suites run from 35 to 75 sq metres, each with its own terrace and pool that grow along with the room, real space for a family with older children, or two couples travelling together. Milos gives you plenty of reasons to leave: boat trips, hikes, the beaches everyone talks about, but on the days you’d rather not, Erema gives you just as good a reason to stay.
The infinity pool sits at the centre of the property for when you want company, Elios Spa a few steps beyond. Quiet, private, never isolating.
Our Take: Calm, cool and collected – a proper luxury hotel with proper-sized suites. Secluded, but not remove; this is where you slow down.
