Odera
Why it made our list: Every surface tells you where you are: stone from the hills, marble from the quarries, geometry borrowed from the dovecotes. Odera doesn’t reference Tinos, it’s made of it.

At a Glance
Stone facades, arched corridors, dovecote geometry pressed into the walls, green marble from the hills above. Studio Bonarchi has built something that could only exist here, on this island, in this light. The arches reference the Ursulines monastery, the geometric wall patterns come directly from Tinos’s famous peristeriones. Nothing is decorative for its own sake. Everything is the island.
Seventy-seven rooms and suites, many with private pools and terraces facing the Aegean. Whitewashed walls, dark wood, sandy linens, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that dissolve the line between the room and the sea beyond. The Odera Art Initiative has placed work by Greek and international artists throughout, chosen to reflect Tinos rather than simply fill the walls. Two pools, a 280 sqm wellness centre with an indoor pool, four treatment rooms and spa products by Diptyque. This is a hotel that has thought carefully about what it is and where it is, and it shows in every corner.
A path leads down to a private cove at Vourni beach. Sunbeds, umbrellas, a beach bar, and water so clear you can see the bottom from the sunbed. The rest can wait.
Our Take: Tinos has been Greece’s best kept secret for long enough. Odera is the reason it won’t stay that way.
Rooms We Love
Fifty square metres of open space, a private pool on the terrace, and uninterrupted Aegean views. The suite that makes the most of what Odera does best. 50 sqm.
Two king-size bedrooms, two bathrooms, a shared entrance and a private pool. Generous without being excessive, and genuinely well designed for families or two couples travelling together. 50 sqm.
A living room, two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, a private pool and a terrace that blurs indoor and outdoor completely. The most expansive way to experience the hotel. 80 sqm.
Dining
Eos Bar & Restaurant The main restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mediterranean cuisine with a distinct Tinian touch, led by Chef Stamatis Marmarinos.
Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 10:30am by the main pool.
Nosti Beach Bar & Restaurant Down at the cove, open through the day. The spirit of a Greek taverna by the sea, fresh, simple, made for sharing.
