Perianth

At a Glance
Terrazzo floors, blush-pink velvet, brass accents, and contemporary Greek art that you’ll actually stop to look at. Perianth sits in a 1930s Art Deco building on Agia Eirini square, and K-Studio have done something genuinely considered with it. The building’s irregular shape means no two rooms are the same, and it works. There’s a character here that feels earned, not styled.
The art is a highlight. Works by Maria Papadimitriou, Apostolos Georgiou and Yiannis Varelas throughout the rooms and common spaces, chosen with real care. This is a hotel that takes contemporary Greek culture seriously without being heavy about it.
Service is warm with just the right touch of formality. The kind of place where the staff remember you, and the breakfast alone is worth setting an alarm for.
Our Take: A design hotel that actually delivers on the promise. Art-forward, impeccably kept, and in the middle of everything Athens has to offer.
Rooms We Love
A balcony facing the Acropolis that does exactly what you’d hope, especially after dark. The smart pick if you want the view without the suite.
More space to spread out, unobstructed Acropolis views from inside the room, and the kind of morning light that makes you slow down. Worth the step up.
The entire sixth floor. Two bedrooms, a living area, a private rooftop terrace with pool, jacuzzi and outdoor bar, and the Acropolis right in front of you. Equally good as a retreat for two or a base for a family that wants space, views and Athens at their feet.
Dining
Anther Bar & Restaurant Mediterranean with a strong Greek accent, led by Chef Nasos Tsironikos (formerly of Milos in Athens and New York). Seasonal ingredients, local producers, and a Greek-only wine list. The space opens onto Agia Eirini Plateia in warmer months. Breakfast is a highlight.
