The Wild
Why it made our list: Its own beach, its own energy, and a bohemian sensibility that feels personal rather than performed.

At a Glance
Thirty-nine rooms, suites, and villas built into a cliffside above Agia Anna Bay, on the quieter south-east coast of Mykonos. The Wild takes its name from the island’s most fearless fishermen, who launched their caïques from this more exposed shore. The feel follows: raw, simple, and deliberately removed from the party circuit.
The design is bohemian-minimal. Whitewashed walls, earthy tones, untreated wood, bamboo, wicker, natural stone. Rooms are airy, with sea views from nearly every angle. Some have private plunge pools and outdoor patios. The infinity pool stretches the length of the property above the cliff, and below it, a small sandy cove, 30 metres wide, with sunbeds, protected from the meltemi by a natural limestone
breakwater. The water here is almost always calm.
Two restaurants, a spa with a hydro pool carved into the cliff, and a gym. But what you’re really paying for is the geography. A pocket beach below, an infinity pool above, and the type of quiet that Mykonos has mostly traded away. Ano Mera is close for traditional village dining. Mykonos Town is about 20 minutes by car, which is exactly far enough.
Our Take: A private cove, a clifftop pool, and twenty minutes between you and the rest of Mykonos. For people who love the island but not every minute of it.
Rooms We Love
The most spacious option. Two bedrooms, a private pool, and a terrace with sweeping Aegean views
The sweet spot. Private pool, sea views, and enough space that leaving feels optional.
Your own plunge pool, sea views, native stone on the patio walls, and ohemian-spare design at its best 35sqm
Dining
Mezé serves breakfast each morning under tamarisk trees with views of the bay. In the evening, it turns candlelit: traditional Greek cooking, local produce, slow-food thinking.
Taverna handles lighter fare through the day: burgers, souvlaki, salads, served poolside or brought to your lounger.
Breakfast: Served at Mezé, 8:00 AM to 10:30AM. Buffet spread with fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, granola, homemade pastries and pies, homemade breads, fresh-pressed power smoothies. À la carte items available at extra cost.
